Our privacy responsibilities

PA2ASSIST.com (“PA 2 ASSIST LTD“) is subject to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The APPs govern how PA2ASSIST.com handles personal information. ‘Personal information’ refers to information or an opinion on an identified individual or someone who may fairly be identified. The Privacy Policy of PA 2 ASSIST LTD applies to any personal information collected and/or stored by the organization. This Privacy Policy also describes how we handle ‘personal data’ concerning individuals in the European Union (EU), as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will frequently evaluate and update this policy.

The sorts of personal information we gather and maintain

We gather personal information from our users in order to deliver goods, services, and customer support. Our goods, services, and customer support are available via a variety of channels, including but not limited to websites, phone applications, email, and telephone. The personal data we gather may be affected by the platform and the product, service, or support with which you engage. Not all of the information we seek, collect, and process is considered “Personal Information” since it does not identify you as a distinct natural person. This will include the bulk of “User Generated Content” that you supply to us with the aim to share with other users. This privacy policy does not apply to such “Non-Personal Information”. However, since non-personal information may be aggregated or connected with existing personal information, it will be considered as personal information. To provide openness, this privacy policy will include both categories of information. In certain cases, users may give us personal information without our asking for it, or via techniques not intended for the collecting of specific categories of data. While we may take reasonable precautions to secure this data, the user will have circumvented our systems, procedures, and control, therefore the information submitted will not be subject to this privacy policy. Users may give us personal information via channels outside our control, such as social media or forums. While our Privacy Policy governs any information we gather, the platform via which it was provided has its own Privacy Policy.

When it comes to pairing people with employment, we utilize automated decision-making. The major method we do this is by ranking users. These rankings are created by analyzing user provided material, user activity, and work outcomes; in this case, user generated content includes reviews that users get after finishing tasks. More information about these ranking guides is available in our community articles. Automated decision-making is also utilized to propose possible jobs to our users and as part of our marketplace security measures. By signing up with us, you consent to receive SMS notifications from us about marketplace activities, protection measures, identity confirmation, and other updates. We will never share your information with other parties for marketing reasons.

Exercising Your Other Rights You have a variety of additional rights in connection to the personal data that PA 2 ASSIST LTD keeps about you; however, there may be limitations to how you may use these rights. This is mostly due to the nature of the goods and services we provide. Much of the data we gather is used to facilitate contracts between users, facilitate payments, and safeguard legitimate users of our marketplace; these data uses are covered by the rights listed below. You possess the right to:
  • Request human review of automated decision-making or profiling.
  • Opt out of direct marketing and marketing profiling.
  • erasure
  • Temporary processing constraint.
Human review of automated decision making / profiling – In the case of our ranking algorithms, this right cannot be exercised since ranking is a vital component of the marketplace in which users engage; opting out would result in the inability to participate in the marketplace. Humans already examine decisions that influence marketplace security. Direct marketing and profiling – Through the settings page, individuals may decide which emails they receive. Erasure – The majority of personal information and user-generated material cannot be removed since they are essential to maintain user contracts, record financial transactions, and safeguard other genuine marketplace users. Non-personal data that may be connected to personal data will be destroyed or anonymized separately from the personal data. Temporary processing limitation – you may exercise this right in specific situations, such as if you feel the personal data we hold is inaccurate or if we do not have reasonable reasons to process your information. In any case, you may exercise your right by contacting our privacy officer. Unless otherwise noted, users may exercise any of the rights listed above by contacting our Privacy Officer.
