Requirements
  • Extensive proficiency in managing complex, high-value loss claims within diverse sectors.
  • Advanced interpersonal acumen enabling persuasive engagement and influence across hierarchical levels.
  • Capacity to interpret nuanced client requirements and formulate bespoke, strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated analytical rigour coupled with a proven record of decisive leadership in challenging environments.
  • Comprehensive expertise in agricultural and large-loss claims, underpinned by robust industry knowledge and accredited professional standing (ACII, ACILA), or have a commitment to work towards qualification.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the specialist and major loss teams and provide strategic direction to the supporting third-party administrator and desktop function.
  • Lead major loss handlers managing complex, high-value claims, ensuring technical excellence and outstanding client service.
  • Implement initiatives to improve efficiency, strengthen compliance, and maintain quality standards within the TPA/Desktop team.
  • Deliver exceptional service to existing accounts, support colleague development, and contribute to profitable new business across the Specialist Agricultural Adjusting sector and ARN lines.
  • Build strong internal relationships, retain a small portfolio of cases, and provide oversight on complex claims.
  • Collaborate to define best practices and champion quality, compliance, and leadership within the team.
  • Raise the profile of the function lines within Sedgwick UK, support profitability targets, and ensure service standards across providers.
  • Identify emerging markets, assist with new business implementation, and work closely with the Director of Agricultural to execute growth strategies.
  • Drive client satisfaction, maintain major client relationships, and monitor performance to ensure consistency and compliance with SLAs.
