JOB DETAILS

 

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to support the Production Manager and project teams.

This role is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining construction-related data, including project records, purchase orders, job costs, and delivery information.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with spreadsheets and tracking systems, and able to handle repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy. Prior exposure in the construction industry is preferred but not required. This position is well-suited for candidates with strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and update construction project data accurately in Smartsheet and other tracking systems
  • Maintain and organize digital files, logs, and project documentation
  • Input and track purchase orders, invoices, work orders, and job cost data
  • Update production logs, delivery records, and job status reports
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness; identify and correct discrepancies
  • Assist with tracking materials, shipments, and job-related documentation
  • Communicate with internal team members to obtain missing or updated information
  • Respond to emails and administrative requests related to data updates and records
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of company records
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and respond quickly to evolving project demands
  • Perform additional administrative support duties as needed to support production goals

Experience

  • Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or clerical work is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in construction or a related industry is a plus

Skills

  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience using Smartsheet or similar data tracking tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing project schedules
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently while supporting a team
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree is a plus

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
