ABOUT JOB

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data within our systems. This role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Data Entry Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring that our databases and records are accurate and up to date.

Duties

• Organize, scan, label, and upload client documents into the office’s digital filing system
• Verify completeness of client files and ensure all required forms are present
• Prepare tax returns for review by senior preparers
• Assist with basic tax preparation tasks under supervision
• Maintain accurate notes and update client status in workflow system
• Perform basic math checks to ensure accuracy of entered data
• Interact professionally with clients when collecting documents or answering simple questions

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Fast and reliable typing skills
• Ability to read and understand common tax documents
• Comfort using computers, scanners, and office software
• Ability to follow step‑by‑step workflows
• Strong organizational skills
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Prior tax office experience is helpful but not required — training provided
