ABOUT JOB
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant . This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative skills, learn about the legal profession. Time off could be flexible; we are willing to work with students or retirees.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly, direct them appropriately, and ensure a professional first impression.
- Answer phone promptly, and route calls efficiently.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mailings, and deliveries. This is a one lawyer office; you may often be alone in the office while lawyer is in court.
- Maintain organized filing systems, perform data entry, and ensure accurate record keeping and shredding personal information
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling court and office appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Support office management tasks such as ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Utilize computer skills. Will be taught how to use our professional computer programs.
- Provide customer support by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Perform clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, shredding personal information, and making files
- Manage office equipment maintenance and troubleshoot basic technical issues as needed. There are no other employees; must be willing to troubleshoot and jump in to help where needed if employer is out of office.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in front desk reception or office administration with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to multitask
- Proficiency in computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace applications, and QuickBooks is essential.
- Prior office experience demonstrating clerical skills such as data entry, filing, proofreading, and calendar management.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to support clients professionally and courteously.
- Excellent job for a student; there is often down time to use for personal study.
