Job Description

ABOUT JOB

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR & Compliance Specialist to oversee our end-to-end recruitment process, manage employee and contractor onboarding, and ensure strict adherence to our compliance standards. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for new linguistic talent and the gatekeeper for our internal record-keeping. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for building great teams, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Actively create, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.
  • Review resumes and process incoming applications for both internal roles and contract linguists.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to identify top-tier candidates.
  • Coordinate and schedule secondary interviews with hiring managers.
  • Track the performance and success metrics of job ads to optimize future recruiting efforts.

Compliance & Record-Keeping

  • Meticulously track and audit immunization records and medical clearances, ensuring timely updates before expirations (essential for medical/healthcare interpreters).
  • Collect, verify, and track required professional certifications, licenses, and language assessments.
  • Verify and document new employee/contractor proof of education.
  • Conduct thorough prior employment and professional reference checks.
  • Ensure all personnel files are up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations regarding worker classification.

Qualifications

  • HR & Recruiting Experience: 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or Compliance, ideally within an agency, staffing, or language services environment.
  • 1099 & Contractor Management: Proven experience onboarding and managing independent contractors (1099), specifically dealing with a large, diverse roster of freelancers or specialized talent.
  • Credentialing Expertise: Familiarity with healthcare, legal, or government credentialing requirements, including auditing medical records, background checks, and certifications.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws, strict compliance tracking, and W-2 vs. 1099 worker classification guidelines.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous approach to record-keeping and auditing in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off

Work Location: Remote
