JOB SUMMARY

 

The Human Resources Assistant / Benefits Administrator provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department, with a primary focus on benefits administration and employee support. This role assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, leave administration, HR reporting, and compliance while delivering exceptional customer service to employees.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within Human Resources and is available as either part-time or full-time, depending on the experience, qualifications, and business needs of the selected candidate.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and Open Enrollment.
  • Assist employees with benefits, HR policies, and general employment questions.
  • Support recruitment by posting positions, coordinating interviews, and assisting with onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and conduct periodic HR file audits.
  • Prepare HR reports and analyze data using Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training, and HR projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Director.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Two years of administrative experience; HR experience preferred.
  • Benefits administration experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Sorting and filtering
    • Data analysis and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Team-oriented with exceptional customer service skills.
