Job Description
ABOUT JOB
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our daily human resources operations. In this role, you will handle clerical duties, assist with recruitment, maintain employee records, and act as a reliable point of contact for staff inquiries. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, handles confidential information with discretion, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes,
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the Regional Human Resource Manager.
- Process payroll on a weekly basis, answer employee questions, fix processing errors, process garnishments, etc.
- Help coordinate interviews with management.
- Assist candidates through the hiring process.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Maintain employees leave paperwork
- Manage new hire benefit enrollment and monthly bill reconciliation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations.
- Communicate with management concerning employee issues.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HR or Business is a plus.
- At least 1-3 years of human resources or office experience preferred
