Job Description

ABOUT JOB

We’re looking for an HR Assistant who genuinely enjoys helping people, keeping things organized, and making processes run smoothly. If you’ve worked in HR support or handled administrative tasks in a busy environment, this is your chance to grow your HR career in a role where your impact is visible from day one.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Employer‑paid life insurance and AD&D benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Free meals and parking
  • Career growth opportunities with a global organization

What you’ll be Doing

  • Be the first point of contact for employees with questions about benefits, policies, or HR processes
  • Take ownership of the onboarding process by coordinating background checks, fingerprinting, and drug testing (DOT and non-DOT), while ensuring I‑9s are completed accurately and maintained in full compliance with federal requirements to set new hires up for success from day one
  • Process employee status changes such as terminations, including documentation and paycheck coordination
  • Help manage disability claims, ADA accommodations, and support related documentation and tracking
  • Keep employee files accurate, organized, and up to date, including doctor’s notes, disability paperwork, and other employment records
  • Support day-to-day HR operations and escalate issues when needed
  • Assist with audits, compliance checks, and required documentation
  • Help coordinate employee events, recognition efforts, and trainings
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive information
  • Work on-site in a fast-paced, team-driven environment where priorities can shift quickly

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR support or administrative roles
  • Experience in environments like hospitality, manufacturing, airline operations, or food service is a plus
  • Strong organization skills—you can track multiple tasks without things slipping through the cracks
  • Clear, professional communication and a natural ability to build trust with employees
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and HR systems (ATS/HRIS experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with onboarding, background checks, drug testing, or benefits support is helpful
  • A positive, helpful attitude and a genuine interest in supporting others
