ABOUT JOB
We are seeking a Social Media Assistant (Seasonal, Part-Time), who will be responsible for supporting the Sparks digital strategy, content creation, and related graphic design efforts on a variety of projects across all digital and social media platforms.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create content and assist with the day-to-day management of Sparks social accounts
- Optimize content for each social platform in terms of sizing, relevance, and timing
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and manage weekly social publishing calendars
- Assist with live coverage/content of all home games and community events on social platforms
- Research trends for social media use; Monitor trends and analytics across platforms to pitch platform-specific content ideas
- Other projects and duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to create and publish content on social media platforms in a timely manner
- Must be organized with great attention to details
- Strong communication skills and ability to execute feedback when given
- Team player who can work collaboratively
- Comfortable with performing in a fast-paced environment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent education and experience preferred
- 1-2+ years of experience in digital / social content creation or production
- Knowledge of all social media platforms, basketball, and video-editing software is a must
- Experience managing professional social media accounts
